Event Assistance Guide

Planning an event in Abilene? We’re here to help ensure your experience is both seamless and successful.

The Event Assistance Guide provides the information and resources needed to navigate City requirements and recommendations for hosting events in public spaces. Whether you're organizing a small gathering or a large community event, this guide outlines key steps, permits, and timelines to help ensure a smooth planning process.

It’s important to note that not all forms in the guide will apply to every event. Clear instructions are provided to help determine what is required for your specific plans. For items that require City Commission approval, please allow sufficient time for processing.

Your feedback and questions are always welcome—don’t hesitate to reach out for assistance as you complete and submit your documentation. Our goal is to make your event a success while aligning with City guidelines to protect and enhance the quality of life for all who live, work, and visit Abilene.
