Public Hearings on Comprehensive Plan Evaluation & Appraisal Amendments

Public hearings of the County's Planning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners will be held in early 2026 to consider proposed amendments to the Alachua County Comprehensive Plan based on the Evaluation& Appraisal of the Plan.

The Planning Commission public hearing will be held on February 25, 2026 at 6:00 pm in the Alachua County Administration Building, Jack Durrance Auditorium, 2nd floor.

A Board of County Commissioners public hearing will be scheduled in March or April. The BoCC will be considering whether to approve transmittal of the proposed amendments to the State for review.

A public hearing on final adoption of the proposed Comprehensive Plan amendments will be held after the State review process concludes (likely around July or August 2026).
