Introducing the Forward Focus Grant Portal

In our most recent Forward Focus Newsletter, we introduced the Forward Focus Grant Portal, a new series that will be updated in all future newsletters. The Grant Portal will highlight funding oppurtunities for local nonprofits, community leaders and small businesses. We recognize the vitality of these individuals and organizations in Eastern Alachua County, and we are excited to connect them with these resources.

The creation of the Grant Portal follows our series of Community Listening Sessions accross Eastern Alachua County. While attending these sessions in communities such as Melrose, Island Grove and Waldo, we recognized a common desire for economic support and funding information. Eastern Alachua County interests such as farming, championing community centers and promoting city-level government participation are key to our findings.

As part of our mission to uplift Eastern Alachua County, we created the Grant Portal to begin spotlighting resources and potential support. The first round of available grants is outlined in the eighth issue of the Forward Focus Newsletter—featured now on the Forward Focus website.
