International District Safety & Quality of Life Feedback
Your voice will help shape how we prioritize safety, cleanup, outreach, and communication in the International District / East Central corridor.
Project Overview
Project Overview
The International District is one of Albuquerque’s most important and most visited areas. It’s also a place where residents, employees, and visitors have shared ongoing concerns related to safety and quality of life.
This page is a place for two-way communication:
- You share what you’re seeing and experiencing
- We share what we’re learning and how it informs next steps
Primary action: Please take the short survey below.
Why We're Asking Now
Why We’re Asking Now
Over the past year, the City and APD have focused additional attention and resources in and around the International District / East Central corridor. We want to understand:
- How safe people feel today
- Which issues are most affecting daily life
- Whether recent efforts are noticeable
- Where concerns persist and what would help most
Your feedback will help us focus on what matters most to the community and communicate progress more clearly.
Who This Is For
Who This Is For
Please share your feedback if you:
- Live in Albuquerque, and
- Live, work, visit, or travel through the International District / East Central area (even occasionally)
You do not need to have had a recent incident to participate. We want to hear from people with a wide range of experiences—positive, negative, and everything in between.

FAQs
How Your Feedback Will Be Used
Your responses will help Albuquerque and APD:
- Identify the issues residents believe are most urgent
- Understand what feels improved and what still feels unresolved
- Pinpoint locations where concerns persist
- Improve how we communicate with residents about actions taken and next steps
- Inform coordination with partners (including cleanup, outreach, and support services)
This is not a “one-and-done” survey. The goal is to use community feedback to guide decisions and then report back.
What Happens Next
Here’s what you can expect after the survey closes:
Review & analysis
We’ll review survey results to understand priorities, themes, and location-based concerns.Share back what we heard
We will post a summary of key findings on this project page.Next steps & updates
As decisions are made and efforts continue, we’ll share updates here so residents can track progress over time.
We will include clear “What we heard / What we’re doing” updates so residents can see how feedback connects to action.
How This Differs From Reporting an Emergency
This survey is for feedback and longer-term planning. If you need immediate help:
- Emergency: Call 911
- Non-emergency police response: Use the City/Police non-emergency line
- City services (trash, lighting, sidewalks, etc.): Use 311 (or the City’s service request system)
If you are ever unsure whether a situation is urgent, prioritize safety and contact emergency services.
