Class #4 email reminder

Community Academy Class 4:

I am so grateful to all who attended Class 3! It was a good evening (with good weather!) but I know it got a little chilly after the sun went down and we were on our feet quite a bit (which probably made our fitness apps happy). Thank you for hanging in there! Our future meetings will be a more comfortable mix of class room and tours.

Community Academy Class 4: Tuesday, Oct 28, 5:45-9pm - Please ARRIVE by 5:45pm.
Location: Middle River Regional Jail, 350 Technology Drive, Staunton, VA
Topics: Courts and Corrections – Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court Clerk, General District Court Clerk, Circuit Court Clerk, Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, Pathways Program, Middle River Regional Jail (tour)

IMPORTANT: Class 4 will be at the Middle River Regional Jail (MRRJ). Please bring a valid ID. Cell phones and all other electronic devices are prohibited inside the jail.

• We will meet in the lobby of MRRJ at 5:45pm. Please be on time in order to gather. We need to go into the jail’s briefing room as a group.
• If you will NOT attend the class, please let me know so that the group does not wait for you.
• Leave all electronic devices, including phones, in your cars.
• If you cannot find your name tag, let me know and I will make you another. I will collect name tags at the end of each class.

**Reminders: **

• Survey. You should have received a separate email to submit feedback for the last class. You can also take the Class #3 Survey using this link. Please submit your feedback before the survey closes on Oct 28, our next class.
• *Updated: There was no presentation for Class 3!*The presentation from Class 3 is on the cohort webpage (https://augustacountyva.civilspace.io/en/projects/2025-community-academy-cohort). If anyone would like printed copies of the presentation, please let me know.
• Send regrets. As always, if you know you have to miss this class, please let me know as soon as possible. You can reach me at academy@co.augusta.va.us or call (540) 245-5600 (before 5pm). It is especially important for class 4 to tell me this ahead of time.
