Dear academy cohort, I hope you enjoyed the demonstrations, information, and tours last night. Personally, I find the MRRJ tour to be sobering yet thought-provoking. I look forward to hearing your thoughts in class and through the feedback survey.

Additionally, several asked about Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training – I am getting some information about that and will send it separately.

Community Academy Class 5

**Tuesday, Sept 29, 6-9pm **

Location: New! Augusta County Courthouse - then to the Parks and Rec Dept (south end of Government Center) Topics: Courts & Quality of Life Courts System: Clerks of the Circuit Court, Juvenile & Domestic Relations Dist Court, and General Dist Court; Commonwealth's Attorney's Office / Pathways & Diversion Program / Victim Witness Travel to Gov Center (Parks and Rec) Quality of life: Parks & Recreation and Augusta County Library**

• We will meet inside the courthouse near security. • After the courthouse, we will travel to Parks and Rec which is at the far southern end of the Government Center. (Drive past the usual boardrooms entrance, past the entrance for ‘AC Schools’ and on the end you’ll see the entrance for ‘Parks and Recreation.’)
