Class 2 email : Looking ahead to the next class.
Thank you to those who could attend our first class. It was great to meet everyone! I have already heard from the presenters about how they enjoyed the evening - it’s not often that many of those departments get to talk about what they do! It’s important to remember that the work of the departments you heard from last night is essential in supporting the services that we all enjoy. From our next class on, you will hear from departments that are public-facing.
Thank you too for your flexibility with the schedule for the evening. I hope you enjoyed learning from the first responder booths at National Night Out and, of course, it was nice to greet our special visitor (for those who couldn’t attend class, check out Augusta County’s Facebook post later this week to find out who we met!).
Community Academy Class 2:
Tuesday, Aug 18, 6-9pm, South Board Room - Government Center Public Safety: Sheriff’s Office Budget & Taxes 101: Commissioner of the Revenue, Treasurer, Finance, Augusta County Schools, Look for the balloon in the hallway to mark the room. We will meet in the South board room to check in and then go to the Sheriff’s demonstration as a group.
Survey
By now, you should have received a separate email to submit feedback for the first class. Your comments will help us improve the program; thanks in advance for your participation. You can also take the Class #1 Feedback Survey using this link. Please submit your feedback before the survey closes on Aug. 18, our next class.
Contact List
I am planning on creating a contact list of the cohort with names, addresses, phone, and emails to provide to the class. This is really to facilitate your connection with each other. Please reach out if you have any concerns.
