Email for Class 3: Sept 1

Dear Community Academy Cohort,

I hope you enjoyed hearing from all the presenters on Tuesday evening. I missed last year’s session on the budget, taxes, and schools so I learned a lot as well.

Community Academy Class 3:

Tuesday, Sept 1, 6-9pm, Middle River Wastewater Treatment Facility (848 Laurel Hill Rd, Verona), map attached Water, Sewer, Waste - tour of treatment facility Travel to GovCenter (South Board Room) Voting, Electoral Board Public safety - emergency management Public safety - emergency communications, tour ECC

• When you get to the wastewater plant, you will go through the gate and park. We will meet outside behind the administrative building. Please try and be on time but if you get caught at the gate and no one is there to let you in, honk your horn and we will come get you! • The wastewater facility tour will be outside - so dress comfortably and for the weather!

Optional Tour?

The landfill staff has offered to do an optional tour for us. They will propose a few days and times, probably a few during the week and on a Saturday morning. I would like to have at least 10 of us committed to the time we choose as a group to determine if we take advantage of this opportunity. I hope to get the dates soon and have you vote on a date.
