Community Academy Class 2:

Thank you to those who could attend our first class. It was great to meet everyone and the staff who presented enjoyed the evening - it’s not often that many of those departments get to talk about what they do!

Tour of the basement level of Government Center and ECC

• Survey. By now, you should have received a separate email to submit feedback for the first class. Your comments will help us improve the program and we appreciate your participation. You can also take the Class #1 Survey using this link. Please submit your feedback before the survey closes on Sept 30, our next class.
• The presentation from Class 1 is on the cohort webpage (https://augustacountyva.civilspace.io/en/projects/2025-community-academy-cohort). Based on some feedback we already got from some of you, I did add one page at the beginning that lists the staff presenters.
• Send regrets. As always, If you know you have to miss this class, please let me know as soon as possible. You can reach me at academy@co.augusta.va.us or call (540) 245-5600 (before 5pm).
• Snacks. Feel free to bring them along with drinks or water bottles.
• Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. We will tour the basement level of the building.
• I will not be at this meeting but Deputy County Administrator, Jennifer Whetzel, will be there along with the presenters.
