Edgewood Park

Welcome to the Edgewood Park Project Page! The City of Bettendorf's Parks & Recreation Department is renovating this neighborhood park and this page will keep you updated as we ENERGIZE Edgewood Park!

We held a Community Input Event on May 13, 2025, where attendees voted for their favorite updates. Following that event, the community voted on four concept plans. The winning concept plan includes a modern playground, an expanded shelter with electrical access, and upgrades to the bathroom and storage building. On September 16, 2025, City Council approved a purchase order to BCI Burke Company, LLC for new playground equipment. The $132,069 state-of-the-art playground system (see rendering below) will replace the existing playground, which is estimated to be more than 15 years old. City Council also approved a purchase order to Creative Sites for a new park shelter, estimated at $92,283.

For a timeline of the project, see below. Installation of the new playground is expected to begin the week of March 23, 2026, weather permitting. The rest of Edgewood Park will remain open as construction occurs in the playground area.
