Parks & Rec Strategic Plan
About
The Bettendorf Parks and Recreation Department conducted its first-ever Strategic Plan in 2023. To continue to provide quality programming and services for families and the people of Bettendorf, we felt it was essential to gain input from the community, staff, Parks Advisory Board, Friends of the Bettendorf Parks Foundation, City Council, and Mayor Bob Gallagher.
This process included Citizen and Board Focus Groups, a Community Survey where 2,400+ respondents had the opportunity to weigh in on what is important to them, and then a Planning Committee worked to put together the Strategic Plan. The plan consists of current and future goals and an action plan to accomplish those goals.
The final Strategic Plan was completed in the second half of 2023 (click link above and/or view video below) and now serves in forming an update to the Parks & Recreation Master Plan, which began in October 2023.
