Checkmates, the place for all things Chess

Checkmates is friendly adult chess club for recreational and competitive players which runs at Bracknell and Crowthorne Libraries. The charity Chess in Schools and Communities (CSC) sponsor the club so that players of all abilities can experience the fun and challenges of playing a game that is more than 1400 years old. There is no fee to join. Regular free beginner and improvers courses are run throughout the year.

The Bracknell Library club is on every Friday from 10am till midday on the lower floor.

The Crowthorne club is on every Thursday from 3.30 - 4.30 pm at Crowthorne Library.
