Brush clearance and grading activity on the project site - October 2025

Clear and grub operations have been taking place at the Home2Suites and Hyatt Place project site. These operations involve brush clearance and debris removal from the site to allow for grading operations to begin. Additionally, storm water control measures have been installed to ensure that sediment does not leave the site while it is under construction.

Grading operations are expected to begin shortly. Despite the commencement of construction, it is unclear what the construction timeline will be or how long it will last. Depending on both weather and economic conditions over the next several months, construction may be delayed after initial rough grading has been completed. At this time, we are advised that construction, if delayed, would likely re-commence in mid-2026. However, there is no guarantee of this timeline.

The City will monitor the operations and communicate regularly with the developer to ensure that we are as knowledgable as possible on this project. As additional information is obtained, it will be posted on this project page.
