
• The SYV Aquatics Foundation is holding a Polar Bear Plunge event tomorrow, February 7th. Starting at 8:00 am, this free event invites community members to take a chilly dip in the SYV High School pool, warm up with some coffee, hot cocoa, and donuts, and hear a big announcement regarding the future SYV Community Aquatics Complex. Mayor Silva and Councilmember Sanchez are scheduled to taking the plunge.
• City Hall has expanded its business hours to include noon to 1:00pm. General City information can be obtained and utility bills can be paid during this time.
• The Willemsen Green (100 Hills School Site) Survey closed at the end of the day on February 4th. As of the close of the survey period, there are a total of 302 survey responses. The results of the survey will be compiled and analyzed by the City’s contract public outreach consultant. This information will then be discussed at the next Willemsen Green Ad Hoc Committee meeting, scheduled for Wednesday February 18th at 6pm in the Library meeting room.
• The Planning Commission Public Hearing for the Cottage Medical Building located at 515 McMurray Road (former Movie Theater site) is scheduled for February 19th at 6:00 pm in the City Council Chambers at 140 W. Highway 246 (behind the Post Office). Information on this project can be found HERE.
• Mark your calendars for Easter Eggstravaganza, Saturday, March 28, Egg Hunt @ 10am sharp in River View Park.
