June 28, 2025 Highway 246/McMurray Road Expansion project construction Activity Update

Calrans has approved the following construction activities for the coming week:

6/30 - Monday (Night Work) - Pavement grinding on Highway 246 and McMurray Road
7/1 - Tuesday (Night Work) - Road subgrade and base inspections
7/2 - Wednesday (Night Work) - Paving on Highway 246 and McMurray Road (Should begin shortly after 7:00pm)
7/3 - Thursday - (Morning Work) - Temporary overlay markers installed on Highway 246 and McMurray Road by noon.

The following is the anticipated work schedule for the following week, subject to Caltrans approval:

7/8 - Tuesday (Night Work) - Cut in traffic detection loops, remove existing striping and fog seal McMurray Road
7/9 - Wednesday (Night Work) - Road striping work

Please note that this schedule is dependent upon weather, road subgrade conditions, and other factors which may result in unforeseen delays. We will attempt to keep you updated of any changes as we become aware of them.
