
Here are the latest updates from the City:
• Our next City Council meeting agenda for May 28 includes an annual report on our Law Enforcement program from Lt. Travis Henderson.
• Discussions began last week on preparation of a Valley-wide Community Wildfire Protection Plan (SWPP), which is a strategic plan designed to reduce wildfire risk to a community and increase its overall resilience. This looks like it will be a cooperative effort between Buellton, Solvang, the Chumash Tribe, and the County, with the plan to be prepared by the staff of the Santa Barbara County Fire Safe Council. More information to follow.
• The 2026 Election page has been added to the City’s website.
• Due to the Holiday this coming Monday, street sweeping will be performed Thursday, MAY 28.
• The deadline for comments on the General Plan Update EIR Scoping is Wednesday, May 27th. The public is invited to provide input regarding what they believe should be analyzed as part of the Environmental Impact Report document for the General Plan Update.
• All Buellton Rec summer camps are now full or very close to it. Contact Rec ASAP at (805) 688-1086 to check availability.
• BBQ Bonanza will be July 25 from 11am - 2pm. Fun for the whole family! Lunch will be served from Noon to 1:00 pm, so don't be late. Check your mail for your postcard meal ticket.
