2024 Community Needs Assessment

The purpose of conducting this Community Needs Assessment is two-fold. The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Human Services Department is primarily funded through grants. This funding is essential for our mission to implement and deliver an array of services through our various offices, initiatives, and collaborative networks in accordance with community needs. In order to fulfill this mission, we must have a systematic way to assess and evaluate what those community needs are. Additionally, our department is a recipient of Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funds. As such, we are required to comply with all applicable CSBG Organizational Standards, some of which mandate that a Community Needs Assessment must be completed within the last three years.
