Amidst the ongoing inflation, Calvert County government is looking into viable affordable housing options to meet the needs of all residents, particularly our youth. Your voice matters as we seek to weigh different perspectives that balance economic and social needs.

As part of our dedicated approach to public service, we believe in co-creating solutions with our citizens. We understand the challanges escalated by rising inflation and the increasing need for affordable housing.

Our most recent community survey showed that 46% of resident surveyed thought the county had a low availability of affordable housing, with 35% of respondants remaining nuetral on current affordable housing availablilty. While 50% of residents believed there was limited access to jobs that pay a living wage.
