Can Cary count YOU in?

Time is running out! Take the six Community Surveys by September 1st and share your ideas for Cary's Climate Action Strategy

Cary is currently developing a strategy to address climate change in our community. Through the Count me in, Cary! campaign, all community members are invited to get involved and share feedback about your priorities, needs, and experiences. Here are four ways that you can learn more and make your voice heard on the issues that matter to you.

1. Take the Six Community Surveys by September 1st
What are your concerns when it comes to extreme weather events, such as heat waves? What would you like to see Cary's parks and open spaces look like in the future? How might Cary support you in purchasing an electric vehicle or electrifying your home? Let us know!

2. Access Climate 101 Resources
Learn more about how our changing climate is impacting our community and what we can do to address the risks and create a safe, healthy, and sustainable future for everyone.

3. Talk with Friends and Family
70% of Wake County residents are concerned about climate change, but 60% rarely or never talk about it. Let's change that! Have a conversation with a friend or family member about the issues that you care about using the Talking Climate Handbook or Climate Conversation Guide.

4. Give a Presentation or Host a Focus Group
Interested in giving a presentation or hosting a focus group discussion with your friends, family, or organization about climate change and Cary's climate action strategy? We can provide all of the resources that you need to get started. A member of the Count me in, Cary! team can also give a presentation or facilitate a focus group for you and your group. Email alyssa.campo@carync.gov for more information.
