Picardy Pointe
Kettlebridge Dive and Glenbuckley Road (Collectors)
Cary completed a traffic calming project in the Picardy Pointe neighborhood. Any input can be provided by emailing the Cary Project Manager using the link below.
In conjunction with some community members, staff developed a concept plan for the installation of speed humps along Kettlebridge Drive and Glenbuckley Road. A survey of the community was completed in September of 2022 to ensure that the plan has consensus support of the neighborhood and provide all impacted citizens an opportunity to engage and have their voices heard. The results of the survey, which showed that a majority of the community supports traffic calming, are available below in the Documents section.
Cary staff prepared several documents to communicate the proposed traffic calming measures, elicit comments, and provide context for the survey. These documents include the project plans (Bid Plan), traffic data summary, and engineer's estimate and are posted here in the Supporting Documents section for review and comment. We encourage you to review the documents posted to understand the scope of this project.
The new speed humps on Kettlebridge were designed to accommodate bicyclists that may use the corridor by providing space between the hump and the gutter.
