The Reserve

Edgemore and Briardale Avenues (Collector) - NC55 to Sears Farm

Cary has been working with the Reserve community to address traffic speeds on Edgemore and Briardale Avenues.  Any additional input can be provided by emailing the Cary Project Manager using the link below.

Part of our efforts to address traffic concerns in this neighborhood include a concept for improvements to Sears Farm Road - if you'd like to provide your input on that design, please visit the project page here.

Cary responded to citizen concerns by placing a series of seven (7) speed humps and one (1) raised crosswalk along Edgemore Avenue, coupled with traffic circles at both intersections with Briardale Avenue.  Based on supplemental feedback from the neighborhood residents, Cary ultimately removed the traffic circle at the T-intersection of Briardale and Edgemore.  Removal of the traffic circle was substantially completed ahead of schedule on August 4, 2022.  The intersection is now open to traffic while Cary continues to monitor the corridor.

Any additional improvements along Edgemore Avenue will be part of future planning and discussion with the neighborhood.
