
Student Uniforms at Riverside School
This fall, we provided opportunities for the Riverside School community to share their perspectives on student uniforms at Riverside School for the 2023-24 school year and beyond. We hosted a virtual session (video recording) on Oct. 4, 2022 and online surveys were available Oct. 5 – 19, 2022 for students, parents and staff.
In considering all of the survey responses available below, the feedback provided at the virtual session and the other factors to be considered, we have decided there will be student uniforms four days of the week at the school for the 2023-24 school year and beyond.
There was considerable feedback indicating that it’s important for students to have opportunities for self-expression through their dress. As such, student uniforms will only be required Mondays to Thursdays at the school. On Fridays, a uniform will not be required.
We will be exploring options for the Riverside School student uniform and share more information with parents in the coming months.
