Update on County's Response to Sinkhole

As part of the County’s response to the sinkhole in the Huntington neighborhood, field investigations identified aging storm drainage infrastructure beyond its useful lifespan. The planned improvements to comprehensively address the findings will include replacing aging storm drain pipes, stabilizing and restoring sections of the stream channels, and adding a stormwater management facility to improve water quality. These upgrades will also be evaluated to reduce nuisance flooding that may be occurring during larger storm events.

This design project (permanent repair), is a part of the Residential Drainage Improvement Program (RDIP).
