Board of County Commissioners Presentation Update
Collaborative Community Improvement Project Bryans Road/Indian Head
Dear Bryans Road and Indian Head Communities,
You are receiving this notification because you requested updates on the Bryans Road/Indian Head Collaborative Community Improvement Project.
On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, the Board of County Commissioners provided positive feedback to the three suggested project cluster recommendations, and voted to approve the inclusion of the Bryans Road Village Green park into project boundaries!
The project clusters include:
- Improvements to the Ruth B. Swann complex including a new digital sign, improved VanGo stop, and improved pedestrian access
- Improvements to the Bryans Road Village Green park
- Improvements to the welcome sign at the entrance of the county (210 Southbound); programming at Village Green park in Bryans Road; a community specific “Neighbors Academy”.
Residents are encouraged to remember that projects must remain within budget, and certain aspects of the recommended clusters may be delayed, paused, or removed because of changes in cost.
You can watch this portion of the Board of County Commissioners meeting here, and view the associated documents here. You can also view the meeting through CCGTV’s Video on Demand library here, from minute mark 04:12.
Next steps are for the internal working group to begin the planning for and managing projects. We will share updates and completion timelines as they are available.
Thank you for your ongoing engagement!
