Fiscal Year 2026 Budget Survey Results

Our Department of Fiscal and Administrative Services appreciates the feedback received from the community to help shape the fiscal year 2026 proposed budget. Over 1,000 responses were gathered from the community regarding how county government should prioritize funding and how we can potentially compensate for changes in funding from the state level.

Your feedback is vital and will be utilized to inform how your tax dollars are spent. Survey responses revealed that the top three priority areas for residents were Education, Crime Prevention, and Transportation and Roads. • Want to get more involved in the budget process? The fiscal year 2026 budget public hearing will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 6 p.m. at the Charles County Government building.
