Collaborative Community Improvement Project Bryans Road/Indian Head

The Collaborative Community Improvement Project is a pilot program designed to promote dialogue and collaboration between Board of County Commissioners, County Government Departments, and community members to:

• Provide education about available resources and programs that can benefit the community.
• Encourage and facilitate dialogue between Charles County Government and community members on possible needs and improvements.
• Implement a measurable project that aligns with Commissioner Goals & Objectives

The Board of County Commissioners approved this project and allocated funding to support its implementation, choosing Bryans Road/Indian Head (Census Tracts 8501.02 & 8502.02) as the first community project.

Community Introduction Survey
An introduction survey was distributed to Bryans Road/Indian Head community members to help us understand what improvements they would like to see in their community. The survey closed on September 15, 2025 with 122 participants. An overview of results is available here.

Community Meetings
Two community meetings were held in August to inform residents on what projects currently exist that are geared to the Bryans Road and Indian Head areas and collaborate with residents on potential ideas for how funds from this project can be used for improvements in their community.

Resident input from the community meetings and the survey will be used to help draft the project plan.
