2024 Annual Budget Consultation - Goes Live!

We've gone live with our budget consultation for 2024-25, alongside making background information available and a bespoke youth survey too. There are tough decisions ahead on your behalf. The Town Council receives no direct funding other than the Council Tax it can raise. We are responsible for a wide range of public assets that need maintenance and improvement; alongside other responsibilities for the social, environmental, and economic well-being of Cirencester.

Our internal and external auditors have also advised that we need to build up our general reserves.

Our senior team of lead members and lead officers take seriously the financial management of public resources, seeking to minimise and reduce expenditure where we can, be efficient in the delivery of services, and explore options for generating income.
