Something new in the Market Place!

We are pleased to announce that much of the improvement work in the Market Place is now completed and we would like to thank local businesses and the public for their understanding during the disruption. We have also commissioned an important access audit of the town centre which will be published in the near future.

In addition, a traditional red telephone box has landed in the Market Place. Instead of buying brand new, we have refurbished and repurposed an old much-loved traditional red phone box.

Thank you to everyone who helped to fund this initiative through Spacehive Crowdfund Cotswold and for the support of Cotswold District Council and Gloucestershire County Council.

The telephone box is in memory of Keith Brown a much-loved friend of the community, churchwarden, and ambassador for Cirencester who sadly passed away in 2019. A plaque is being arranged and we will be contacting local charities and organisations to find out ways in which they would like the phone box to be used to support the local community.

In the meantime why not take a selfie or two to promote Cirencester!
