If you are so set on green issues, why are our public transport facilities so infrequent and railways so expensive? Can anything also be done to improve bus stops, bus frequencies & costs to make public transport use, more attractive & convenient?       

We echo concerns about public transport; in terms of bus stops our grounds team regularly cleans the bus shelters in Cirencester. Wider than that it is a County Council matter. Cirencester Action on Buses is a community-driven initiative that aims to improve public transport services in Cirencester and the surrounding area. The group promotes existing services and campaigns for improvements in bus and general public transport

Why have you not done more to promote cycling in the town? Why is there not more secure storage for bicycles in the town centre?  What are the plans/progress for the cycle routes? What can be done to increase connected safe cycle networks across the whole town?                                

Following publication of the local cycling and walking infrastructure plan, we have ensured that cycling is prominent in our Neighbourhood Plan, including much needed resources for cyclists.

Is there a housing development planned between Kemble and Cirencester? When will we be told about this so we can provide input?

What is the status of Neighbourhood Plan and where can I see this? What is the timescale for implementing the town plan?                

We submitted the Plan to Cotswold District Council as part of the Reg 16 phase and subject to some minor amendments Cotswold District Council will be consulting the public, we hope this will be around the Spring 2026, followed by an independent examination and a referendum before the year end.

What is planned to improve the public transport link to Kemble station?

We want this improvement too and support the light rail project as one option for this link.
