Cirencester Neighbourhood Plan Regulation 14 Consultation - 2024 - Your Thoughts So Far!

There's still time to respond to the Cirencester Neighbourhood Plan Regulation 14 Consultation and we thought you might like to know what others currently think. As we write this update we've had a total of 136 online responses, 31 anonymous, 93 confirmed, and 12 pending, which have together so far generated over 550 contributions. Over 150 of you visited our drop-in Exhibition at the Corinium Museum a couple of weeks ago and shared your thoughts with members of the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group.

We have been asking you for your opinion on the proposed 38 policies in the draft Neighbourhood Plan, which address issues such as environment, heritage, community, access, movement, streets, spaces, town centre and local economy.

It is important to us that we properly reflect your views as once ‘made’ the Neighbourhood Plan will hold legal status and as such would be used to influence and decide planning applications for new buildings and changes to existing buildings and decide on the use of land in Cirencester.

So far, 75% of contributions received overall have been positive or mostly positive in nature, with another 19% being neutral. 

We will be analysing your comments in detail following this Regulation 14 Consultation and taking them into consideration, at the same time as ensuring we are compliant with all relevant legislation, as we develop the Regulation 16 draft.
