Green Spaces Consultation - an update so far!

With only 10 days remaining before our Green Spaces Consultation closes, there is still time to share your thoughts and suggestions on our Parks and Green Spaces.

At the time of writing this update, we have received 99 responses, 36 comments on our Green Spaces Map, and 9 responses to the Youth Consultation.

The feedback we have received emphasises the importance of Cirencester's Green Spaces to residents for walking, relaxation, and mental health benefits, with the Parish Church being highlighted as a valuable indoor community space. Seating, signage, and refreshments have been identified as the most popular improvements to prioritise in the next 4-8 years, particularly in the Abbey Grounds.

Income generation has become an important consideration for the Town Council in order to fund improvements and to continue providing a high standard of day-to-day maintenance across our green spaces. Popular suggestions for income generation include holding events and concerts in our green spaces, and to have more refreshments kiosks in the parks.
