Survey: Whether to Add National Motto to Clovis City Council Chamber
The City of Clovis is gathering feedback from residents about a proposal brought forward by community members to add the national motto “In God We Trust” to the wall of the City Council Chamber. On September 8, 2025, the Clovis City Council voted to agendize the item and requested that staff engage in public outreach to gather the feedback of residents. As part of this effort, the City is conducting a survey as well as hosting a series of "Meet with the Mayor and City Manager" events to provide both online and in-person opportunities to share your thoughts.
