Strategic Plan Refresh

Shaping Commerce City's future

Help Shape How Commerce City Reaches Its Future Goals

Commerce City is refreshing its Strategic Plan, the roadmap that helps guide city priorities, projects, services, investments, and decision-making over the coming years.

Earlier this year, City Council and city leadership participated in the 2026 City Council Retreat, where Council refined the city’s Strategic Goal Categories to better reflect their vision for Commerce City’s future and the evolving needs of the community.

What Is Happening Now?

The city is now working to refresh the Strategic Plan by identifying the actions, strategies, and priorities that will help achieve these goals. This phase of the process is focused on community input. While City Council has already established the city’s strategic direction, residents now have an opportunity to help shape how the city moves these priorities forward.

We want to hear from you about:

  • What the city is already doing well
  • What approaches would make the biggest impact
  • What improvements or investments should be prioritized
  • How the city can better serve and connect with residents
  • What success should look and feel like in everyday life

Your feedback will directly inform the refreshed Strategic Plan expected to be presented for adoption in the fall.
