About the project
The Lost Peatlands project is restoring areas of historic peatland between Neath Port Talbot and Rhondda Cynon Taf, creating habitat for rare and declining species such as water voles and skylarks. It focuses on almost 6700 hectares of upland landscape, providing new opportunities for people to discover the wealth of natural and cultural heritage that the area has to offer.
Coed Lleol (Small Woods Wales) is working in partnership with Neath Port Talbot Council to deliver the project, with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
