Introduction
What is a Blueprint?
A Blueprint combines a Strategic Vision and Design Framework to inform future development plans for an area. Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council have commissioned BDP and AspinallVerdi to undertake a Central Stockton and North Thornaby Blueprint - with the goal of enhancing the area as a cohesive and welcoming area to visit, live, and work.
What will the Blueprint focus on?
The Central Stockton and North Thornaby Blueprint will consider the next 25+ years until 2050, focussing on this central area. We will explore potential opportunities such as town centre living, strengthening the retail and business sectors, public realm and green space, wayfinding and active travel routes, leisure and culture, and development of key sites such as Teesdale Business Park.
How does this apply to you?
We would love to hear from local residents, business owners and people who work, study, shop and socialise in Stockton-on-Tees! Over the coming months we will be sharing a number of surveys and interactive maps for you to review and comment on. In doing so you can contribute to the future development of Stockton, and help to shape a high quality of life for its residents.
