The City of Corsicana would like to share plans for an upcoming street maintenance initiative that will enhance both safety and the driving experience along one of our key community corridors as well as other roads in town.

Street Improvement Projects
The month of September will be a busy time for getting around the city. Several projects are in the works.
Planning
July 1, 2026 - July 31, 2026
Determining scope of work needed, supplies and team. Alert citizens about road closures, work to be done.
Resurfacing Beaton Street
September 8, 2026 - September 30, 2026
The Beaton Street asphalt overlay project will begin at 2nd Ave. working north to Hardy Ave. The portion from Fannin Elementary to Hardy Ave. is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12th to avoid school interruptions. A pilot car will lead one lane of traffic up and down Beaton St. Please consider using alternate routes during this time. NO PARKING ON THE STREET to avoid delays and the additional work of towing cars. If you have a non-working car on the street, it must be moved prior to September 8th.
September TBD - Part 1
September 8, 2026 - September 30, 2026
Only residents of Edgewood, Oakridge, McKinney, Dartmouth and City Rd. will be allowed access to their homes during construction hours. No thru traffic will be allowed. Flagmen will be assisting at these locations. NO PARKING ON THE STREET Sept. 8th-30th to avoid delays and the additional work of towing cars. If you have a non-working car on the street, it must be moved prior to September 8th.
