About

The South Park Neighborhood Engagement Area (NEA) is defined by the following borders: 49th Street to the North, 51st Street to the South, Avalon Boulevard to the East, and San Pedro Street to the West. The South Park NEA is unique since it represents the Community Safety Partnership (CSP) expansion beyond a housing development and into a local park. The CSP South Park Team works collaboratively with the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, more specifically, the committed staff of the South Park Recreation Center, in addition to local residents and community-based partners in the public and private sectors to support a healthy quality of life for all community members. Fun Fact: During his childhood years, two-time Grammy Award winner, Barry White, lived in the South Park Community.
