Jordan Downs
About
The Jordan Downs Neighborhood Engagement Area (NEA) is located in the Watts Community of Los Angeles, and defined by the following borders: 97th Street to the North, 103rd Street to the South, Alameda Street to the East, and Grape Street to the West. The Jordan Downs NEA encompasses the Jordan Downs Housing Development which comprises 690 quality, affordable housing units, owned and managed through the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA). The CSP Jordan Downs Team works collaboratively with HACLA, in addition to local residents and community-based partners in the public and private sectors to support a healthy quality of life for all community members. Additionally, HACLA is modernizing this development through a series of upgrades and renovations. Fun Fact: During her childhood years, American track and field athlete and gold medal winner, Florence Griffith Joyner, lived in the Jordan Downs Community.
