Nickerson Gardens

The Nickerson Gardens Neighborhood Engagement Area (NEA) is located in the Watts Community of Los Angeles, and defined by the following borders: 111th Street to the North, Imperial Highways to the South, Compton Avenue to the East, and Central Avenue to the West. The Nickerson Gardens NEA encompasses the Nickerson Gardens Housing Development which comprises 1066 quality, affordable housing units, owned and managed through the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA). The CSP Nickerson Gardens Team works collaboratively with HACLA, in addition to local residents and community-based partners in the public and private sectors to support a healthy quality of life for all community members. Fun Fact: Constructed in 1955, the Nickerson Gardens is the largest housing development west of the Mississippi River.
