Sorrento Blind Bay Community Park playground upgrade
What do you want to see in the playground?
Sorrento Blind Bay Community Park
Help shape the future of Sorrento Blind Bay Community Park
What's your priority?
Playgrounds are more than equipment. They’re places where children learn, families connect, and community friendships grow. To ensure the new playground reflects the needs and experiences of the people who use it most, we’re inviting residents, parents, caregivers, and community members to share their ideas.
Remember, there's not an unlimited budget. So we want to make the choices that best reflects the wishes of park users.
Your feedback will play a vital role in helping us understand what features matter most to local families, accessibility considerations, and the overall vision for a welcoming, inclusive play space.
Current playground equipment
The playground at Sorrento Blind Bay Community Park features a large shade structure adjacent to a water spray park. (Only the playground portion of the park will be getting an upgrade. The water spray park will remain as-is.)
It also has a number of features aimed at children ages 2-5 years:
- 2 diggers
- 1 extra wide slide
- 1 regular slide
- 3 ridged climbers
- 1 slide pole
- 1 toddler swing
Features aimed at children aged 5-12 years include:
- Double slide
- Single slide
- 4 ridged climbers
- Multi-platform structure
- Wooden arch bridge
- Slide pole
- Swinging monkey bars
- Runds
- 1 rung ladder
- 2 swing bays with 3 belt swings
We want to know what type of play equipment you would like to see in the new playground. Some of the same elements? Some new ones? Take our survey so your input can help shape the final design.
