Community Events

1. Summer Solstice Festival
   June 20, 2024 | 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM | Prescott Courthouse Plaza
   Join us for a celebration of the longest day of the year! Enjoy live music, local food vendors, arts and crafts, and activities for the whole family. The festival will conclude with a fireworks display at 9:30 PM.

2. Farmers' Market
   June 21, 2024 | 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM | Yavapai College, Prescott Campus
   Support local farmers and artisans by shopping at the weekly farmers' market. Fresh produce, homemade goods, and handcrafted items will be available for purchase.

3. Hiking Club Meetup
   June 22, 2024 | 7:00 AM | Granite Mountain Trailhead
   Join the Yavapai Hiking Club for a morning hike up Granite Mountain. All skill levels are welcome. Remember to bring water, sunscreen, and a hat. Meet at the trailhead parking lot at 7:00 AM sharp.

Community News
Yavapai County Library Summer Reading Program
The Yavapai County Library is hosting its annual summer reading program for children and teens. Participants can earn prizes for reading books and attending library events. Sign up at your local library branch or online.

Prescott Valley Road Improvements
Prescott Valley is undergoing major road improvements to enhance traffic flow and safety. Expect temporary road closures and detours around Glassford Hill Road and Florentine Road. The project is expected to be completed by the end of July.

Volunteer Opportunities at Yavapai Humane Society
The Yavapai Humane Society is seeking volunteers to help with animal care, administrative tasks, and community outreach. If you love animals and have some spare time, consider volunteering. Visit their website for more information and to apply.

Whispering Pines Cafe

Free Yoga in the Park
June 19, 2024 | 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM | Watson Lake Park
Enjoy a free, beginner-friendly yoga session led by certified instructor Jessica Martin. Bring your own mat and water. This event is sponsored by the Prescott Wellness Coalition.

Blood Donation Drive
June 23, 2024 | 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM | Prescott Gateway Mall
Give the gift of life by donating blood at the Prescott Gateway Mall. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged. All donors will receive a free t-shirt and refreshments.
