🏓 LA PALMA CENTRAL PARK PICKLEBALL COURTS PROJECT

The City of La Palma is dedicated to enhancing community spaces to better reflect the interests and needs of residents. As part of this commitment, we are evaluating the addition of new pickleball courts at Central Park, one of the City's most cherished public spaces. This initiative aligns with our goal of fostering community wellness through recreational opportunities that are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to popular trends. Public feedback will play a critical role in determining how best to integrate these courts while preserving Central Park’s character and existing uses.

Pickleball’s widespread popularity across Southern California has underscored its value as an intergenerational, low-cost activity that promotes health and social connection. Many cities are already accommodating this growing interest, and La Palma intends to thoughtfully join the momentum by considering design elements such as court placement, sound mitigation, and accessibility. This platform is your opportunity to share ideas, concerns, and suggestions that will guide the City in creating an amenity that reflects community priorities and enhances the Central Park experience for all.
