Wildfire in Wasco County

Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan

Ensuring the safety and well-being of all Wasco County residents is a top priority for us, especially in the face of natural hazards. That's why we're embarking on a journey to revisit and revise our Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan. Your insight and participation in this process is invaluable, and will directly impact how we prepare to mitgate loss from natural disasters in our community.

We recognize the crucial role that public feedback plays in shaping our county's plans. In an effort to facilitate that, we are launching a survey to gauge the level of preparedness among community members for natural hazards, and equally important, to disseminate relevant information to help everyone become better equipped. In addition, we are planning an interactive event aimed at fostering a wider discourse around this subject while engaging and educating in a participatory manner. Your individual experiences and perspectives are the heartbeat of our community, and as such, they will significantly shape governmental actions and decisions.
