Protected Species
Smith’s Point has been re-opened to beach driving due to the fledging of protected species.
PLEASE NOTE: There is significant erosion along the south shore and tip of Smith’s Point. Take the inside trail to reach the tip of Smith’s Point.
Quick reminders:
- A permit is required for beach driving
- All traffic is two-way
- Be safe – drive slowly and share the “road”
- Keep pets leashed
- Respect dune restoration – stay outside of the fenced off areas.
