Organized Retail Theft Grant

Partnering with stakeholders in our community has always been central to our mission. Today, we are announcing a grant-funded initiative utilizing a proactive policing approach to target organized retail crime and city-wide catalytic converter theft. Through blitz operations, enhanced training, new equipment, and bolstered community engagement, we aim to create a safer environment and the project will be directed in collaboration with the San Francisco District Attorney and California Highway Patrol.

Union Square's commercial district and Mid-Market's fencing activity supporting organized retail crime, alongside neighborhood hotspots, have been identified as the focus areas in this endeavor. Your support and active engagement is a crucial element in the success of this initiative, as your insights will directly impact our ongoing efforts to mitigate crime and foster safer communities. Through this shared purpose, we can look forward to a safer, more resilient San Francisco.
