It's here - a New Year. Time to embrace new tasks but first celebrate 2025 successes.
What was accomplished in 2025: Here's the abbreviated list:
January – UPRR Diagnostic Meeting, Exhibit Review Workshop #2
February – 1st Team meeting with TWU (share concept plans), Approved new Ruddell Alignment
March – Reviewed 1st ROM (cost estimate)
Apri – 30% Design, Diagnostic Assessment Accepted by UPRR
May – 30% Review
June – UPRR Preliminary Engineering Agreement - Executed by City Council and UPRR, UPRR Approved Traffic Study
July – Completed meetings with 15 Internal Depts, Secured 14 utility clearance letters, 3 UCLs pending, and identified 9 companies with conflicts.
August – Held Project Phasing Meeting and Value Engineering Meeting, UPRR responded to Notice of Intent, and Held Real Estate Kick Off Meeting
September – Council approves to Purchase first property
October 60% Plans Submitted
November – 60% Cost Model submitted and Possession of first property
December – Confirmed clear of TWU, ongoing coordination for clearance of utilities and real estate and railroad.
COMMUNITY SERVICE - In addition to working hard on Projects, the Pre-Construction Design team made up of City of Denton, SUNDT, and Kimley Horn volunteered in the City of Denton.
07/2025 Women Building America - training young ladies how to read design plan, use hand and power tools, and sharing career options. Our future looks BRIGHT!!
12/2025 Denton's Hearts for Homes - our team lead by Sundt Construction challenge us for a Christmas Food drive PLUS we participated in Food Delivery. Hearts for Homes had their own 2025 success stories, including they served a total of 104 seniors, held 274 workdays, and completed 1,753 projects. Amazing Organization and organization!
