Western Blvd (US 380 to Jim Christal Blvd)

The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) has awarded a grant to the City to support targeted infrastructure improvements driven by mobility challenges and documented safety needs within the community. This project will complete corridor enhancement by adding a new southbound travel lane, resulting in a fully built out four lane roadway. Improvements also include the construction of a 10 foot shared use sidepath to better accommodate pedestrians and cyclists, along with additional safety focused features such as upgraded crossings, and improved drainage. Together, these enhancements will provide a safer, more efficient connection from US 380 to Jim Christal Boulevard and support the area’s long-term mobility and growth.
