Country Lane Underdrain Replacement
Project Overview
The City installed underdrains on Country Lane several decades ago. Underdrains intercept the groundwater from seeping under the street thus providing for a more stable road base and greatly extending the life of the pavement. Underdrains have a limited life cycle and need to be replaced over time. Underdrain replacement is part of the City's normal maintenance program.
The project will restore the function of the underdrain and will extend the life cycle of the street. it will also address a continuing problem with constant flow in the gutter.
Project Budget
- As this replacement is above "routine", it was included in the annual Capital Improvement budget and the bid amount was $167,934.
