The plan aims to assess the current conditions and recommend improvements to enhance the waterfront area in an effort to be more resilient, increase public access, and improve walkability.

As we embark on a comprehensive look at the issue of parking downtown, let us know what you think? We will be looking at this in a holistic fashion, in balancing residential and commercial interests, peak seasonal challenges, enforcement, travel patterns and other local impacts.

Parking in the Main Street, Waterfront and Hill and Harbour areas of town tend to be difficult at times during the year. This does tell us that we have a vibrant community, but movement at certain times should be expected to be difficult. Help us in relooking at this challenge, compromises will need to be made, so keep an open mind as you look at this issue and the various opinions that will be brought forward in this community discussion.
