Churchfield Meadows Access
Residents and visitors are invited to share their views on a proposal to allow dogs access to the wildflower meadow located next to Churchfields recreation ground, Weybridge.
This space was gifted to the council by Cala Homes in 2013, along with Section 106 (planning gain) funding for its maintenance. Following consultation with residents, it was designated as a dog-free wildflower meadow.
The Council has been approached and asked to consider making the area open to dogs, rather than the current approach, in which dogs are banned from this space.
We are keen to find a balance between community access and protecting the site and the nature that thrives there. We want your views on how we can achieve this.
We are launching a short survey to gather feedback from local residents, dog owners, and meadow visitors.
The survey takes less than five minutes to complete and includes questions about meadow usage, opinions on dog access, and ideas for managing the area to benefit everybody.
